In the beginning of Zeus's story, there was unbearable cruelty. He was ejected from an automobile that was driving at a high rate of speed, and in his hasty attempt to pursue the car, he was struck by the same vehicle. The fortunate thing is that another car saw the horrifying scene, came to a stop, and called for assistance. Our journey to him lasted for a total of two torturous hours. Zeus was in a condition of despair when we arrived; he had a major wound on his rear leg, blood loss, and a body that had been destroyed by severe scabies, which had robbed him of his fur. The anguish that was inflicted upon such a helpless and diminutive creature was horrible.
