The following are some of the most heartbreaking and frightening stories ever told. We are referring to those unfortunate creatures that have been mistreated and abused due to the fact that they have not been brushed or groomed for years, to the point where their matted coats have caused them to be buried alive. We will read about them approximately once every few years, and we will pray that this will be the last time that we have to witness it. In no way is it.
Chief Ken Ross of Putnam County, New York, received a call from a woman who reported that her neighbor’s dog was being neglected. This time, the story comes from Putnam County. Ross, who is also the founder of the local SPCA, together with other cops went to the property that was specifically mentioned in the call and inquired with the owner about the possibility of seeing his dog.
Ross has been through a lot of mistreatment of animals ever since he established the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Putnam County in the year 2010. As a matter of fact, however, he has witnessed hundreds of them during his time working there. However, even he was taken aback when he lay eyes on the animal, which, at first glance, appeared to be nothing like a dog. It appeared to be a Halloween costume for dogs that was reminiscent of something that would have been found in a science fiction film such as “The Spider that Ate Manhattan.”
Underneath the highly matted fur that weighed more than eight pounds, it was discovered that there was, in fact, a puppy hiding there all along. The puppy was a tiny poodle. As it protruded from his body at weird angles like fuzzy tentacles, it was so dense that it covered his eyes and the majority of his face. Roadkill that appeared to be in better health has been noticed by us.
Slaughter of Animals
The officers quickly saw that this was a case of extreme animal cruelty, and they immediately filed charges against the owner of the dog in accordance with the severity of the offense. After that, they sent the elderly dog, who was known as Pierre, to Guardian Veterinary Specialists in Brewster, New York. There, it took three veterinarians more than two hours to remove the fur that was covered in pee and excrement from his 13.8-pound frame.
Pierre stayed in discomfort for a number of days and refused to eat, but ever since then, he has been breathing in chicken and walking around the facility in a regular manner. He has also continued to receive therapy at the clinic. Berg stated, “It is clear that he is feeling a great deal better.” “I mean, he’s still a very cautious dog, so we have to go slow with him because, you know, who knows what he went through?”
Arraignment proceedings for the owner of the dog are expected to take place on August 30 at the Patterson Justice Court. It had been seven years since his neighbours had last seen Pierre outside, according to their claims. To Pierre’s good fortune, the SPCA was able to establish communication with Poodle Rescue Connecticut, Inc., which will serve as his home until he is adopted.
