Say hello to Edgardo.
The lovely six-year-old puppy, who was discovered to be emaciated and suffering from a number of health problems, has had a difficult life. Riviera Rescue found him at a gas station in Mexico.
He has been living on the streets for an unknown amount of time, but he urgently requires medical attention. He was taken to the clinic, where a veterinarian checked him after the rescue. -
Edgardo has been diagnosed with Ehrlichia, heartworm, and ringworm. He has an eye infection, requires dental work, and is missing fur because of mange.
Despite his terrible health, he has not allowed it to affect his gentle disposition. He enjoys being around people and gets along well with other dogs.
Although his prognosis is positive, the road to rehabilitation will be lengthy and costly. The rescue contacted the Emergency Animal Medical Fund of Greater Good Charities to help pay for his medical expenses. -
The purpose of the fund is to provide assistance to dogs like Edgardo so that they can receive the care they require and lead a more fulfilling and healthier life. We are able to save lives and provide medical assistance to animals in need because of your ongoing support.
Edgardo has begun a nutritious diet and is taking medication to cure Ehrlichia and ringworm. He will also receive treatment for heartworm disease at a later time. He is given pharmaceutical baths to help his skin heal from mange, and he should be completely healed in six months. -
It is possible that pets that are undergoing essential care that is made possible by an Emergency Animal Medical grant will not be eligible for adoption until they have fulfilled all of their treatment requirements. We highly recommend that you visit the shelter's specific website first if you want to ask about adopting a particular animal. This is usually the best location to find the most current information about pets that are available for adoption and to study the policies and procedures for adoption. Visit the shelter's Facebook page to view all the pets that are available for adoption.
Please help us fund $4,200 so that he can recover and have another opportunity to live in a loving family. Your donation will not only give him the hope to keep fighting, but it will also assist in paying for his continued care.
