In the depths of hopelessness, where the shadow of death hung large, a small street dog named Juliet fought against not one but two terrible illnesses that threatened to steal her life. Both of these illnesses were fatal. In addition to the fact that she was malnourished and had maggots destroying half of her face, she also had to battle with the canine distemper illness, which may often be fatal.
For a number of days, Juliet's life was in jeopardy while rescue workers prepared themselves for the challenging labor that was still to come. It appeared difficult to heal from a severe wound while also fighting against distemper, which took great effort. This was a challenge that looked impossible to overcome. Her physical form was feeble and battered, and her sufferings stood as a testimony to the unspeakable cruelty of fate.
