For the very first time in his life, Zeus was able to sleep in a warm and comfortable cot that was adorned with blankets and a plastic dog house. In the evening, we were able to observe him finally settling down, and we were certain that it was the very first time he had ever settled down on a bed. As each day went by, Zeus continued to get better. He had a healthy diet, was getting enough rest, and was even getting medical baths on a weekly basis, which helped his skin look and feel younger. In spite of the traumatic events that had occurred in his life, it was clear that he was beginning to experience caring and kindness. It is a credit to Zeus's fighting spirit that he gained two kg over the course of the subsequent five weeks. An onslaught of antibiotics, intravenous fluids, and further blood transfusions were administered to him continuously. As each day passed, he became more resilient and filled with a will to live. Eventually, he stopped using the drug, and as his rear leg recovered, he was no longer able to walk with a limp. After he had lost his hair, his skin began to grow back with a thick, dark fur.
