However, it was eventually discovered that there was no reason to be concerned about the image. It was just a puppy who, unfortunately, had to have surgery to have his front leg removed. The picture was taken at a terrible moment when his owner snapped a photo of him as he turned around to lick his side. Someone was able to use a drawing diagram to show how the picture came to be in order to clear up any confusion for folks on the internet. -
